Matches will be held at the competing clubs on the following days: -

  • Dunsborough -Wednesdays
  • Moorabinda and Bunbury Central - Thursdays
  • Busselton  - Fridays.
  1. Players are expected to arrive at the clubs 15 minutes before the scheduled time to complete paperwork etc.
  2. Games start at 9.00 am with a five-minute hit-up before the scheduled start using the lawn and balls to be used in that game. If an opponent is not there to toss with, someone else may act in that capacity.
  3. No player/team may start hitting up on a lawn until it has been fully set up.
  4. No player/team that is ready for a 5-minute hit-up will be deprived of a hit up due to the lateness of the opponent. The right of a 5-minute hit-up is conditional upon the player/team being present at least 5 minutes before the starting time.
  5. Lawn fee of $5.00 per is to be given to the captain of the home team before play starts.
  6. Teams will consist of 4 players each playing four single games. Players are numbered 1-4 in handicap order. 1 being the player with the lowest handicap.
  7. Players retain their position 1-4 throughout the match regardless of any changes to handicap or index points following their singles games
  8. Each game to be 13 points or 45 minutes duration.
  9. The score sheet denotes the order in which the games are played.
  10. Hoops are set at 95.3mm (3.3/4”). Timers are to be set at 45 minutes.
  11. The first player to score 7 points wins the game (unless the time limit is reached).
  12.  Draws are not permitted. When the bell goes, a hoop that has been started (i.e. one ball hit towards it after the previous hoop has been made) is to be finished. If after this hoop is played the score is a draw, the next hoop is to be made to decide the winner.
  13. If the bell goes immediately after the hoop has been made but before a ball has been hit towards the next hoop, the game is finished unless the scores are level, in which case one more hoop is played.
  14.  All singles start at the same time.
  15. If the secondary colours catch up to the primary colours AND the game is likely to be significantly delayed, the timer may be temporarily stopped.
  16. At the end of the competition, the winner will be decided on Matches first, then on games and finally hoops. The scoring of matches will be: Win 1 point.  In the event of a tie, the winner will be based on the result of the tied teams’ head-to-head match. If the teams can still not be separated, there will be a 3-hoop play-off (Hoops 2-4), with the lowest handicap player of each team playing.
  17. Games are Level Play
  18. Handicap cards and the score sheets are to be filled in after each singles game.
  19.  Players handicaps are adjusted at the end of the days play and altered before the next week’s games.
