BUSSELTON GC CLUB SINGLES
2rd - 3rd July 2026 There were 11 players in the Club Championship with 7 in the first block and 4 contesting the Plate which was for C & D grade players. All players were very competitive and it was good to see David and Trevor step out of their comfort zone and play against more experienced players. Winner of the Championship was Kim Reynolds with Robyn Dart 2nd and Megan Reynolds 3rd. The plate winner was Julie Dewar with 3 wins from Robin Beer.


THE JOHN ANDERSON PAIRS
6 14th June 2026 7 pairs contested this event with some exciting tussles along the way. Early on Kim and Ron seemed to have the contest stitched up but then they had a sneak attack from Trevor and David who beat them in the game between the two and it was game on. With both having 5 wins and 1 loss Kim and Ron won on hoops.


BUSSELTON AC CLUB SINGLES
1 -3 rd July 2026 There was only 4 players contesting this event. Kim & Megan Reynolds, Robyn Dart & Max Kewish. The tussle between Kim and Megan was very close and Kim just managed to get over the line with 2 hoops from Megan. This meant Kim was the winner and Megan runner-up.


GC STATE OPEN DOUBLES
4 -5th July 2026 There were 16 pairs which included most of the state team. The first round was 2 blocks of 8 in a round robin, which was then split 8 pairs continuing the knock - out and the other 8 continuing in the plate. The winners were Jeff Newcombe and Paul Christmas from Colin Stewart & Joyce Carbone.


CROQUETWEST GC BRIAN HADLEY STAR
27 -28th June 2026 This is an invitational event for up and coming players. With 16 entries it made for a strong competition. Julie Dewar was Busselton's entrant. The winner was Brian Scott from Cate Johnson.


STATE OPEN AC SINGLES
27 -28th June 2026 There were 11 players competing for this title. There were 2 blocks and Megan and Kim Reynolds found themselves in. the same block. Kim and Megan did very well winning 2 and 3 games respectively. The overall winner was Ian Dumergue from Gary Phipps.


STATE GC B GRADE DOUBLES
20 -21st June 2026 There were 9 pairs competing for this title of which two of the pairs were from Busselton. Dianne Bower & Julie Dewar and Max Kewish & Graham Edwards. The competition was very tight with little separating the top four. The final was between Cate & Mark Johnson & Ric Murray & Gil Sowden. which went right down to the wire with Cate & Mark winning 10/9.


WA GC STATE OPEN SINGLES
30th May - 1st June 2026 There were 16 players hoping for the honour of being WA's no 1. Conditions were forecasted to be wet and windy. Two blocks of 8 had a single round robin and the top 4 of each block conntinued in the knockout and the bottom 8 would play the plate. There were some very tight best of three and it was interesting to note that the top 2 from both blocks actually ended up playing for 5th to 8th. MANDURAH GC C GRADE DOUBLES
2nd -3rd May 2026 Four of our members participated in this event. Barbara Dunnet and Ellen Sprigg and Julie Dewar and Robin Beer. There was a good field of eight pairs and some close games. Barbara and Ellen finished 4th with 4 wins and Julie and Robin had 2 wins. It is great to see some members venturing beyond Busselton


WA STATE LADIES SINGLES
25th - 26th April 2026 This event was held at Moorabinda with 6 ladies playing a double round robin. Joyce Carbone won from Dawn Robinson and Robyn Dart came 3rd.


AC EIRE CUP
15th - 19th April 2026. This year the Eire cup was held in Perth and the WA State Team was keen too do well in front of a home crowd. The State team had 6 players from the South West and 4 from Perth area. There was a lot of media coverage to promote this event and the welcome event was held at Council House. WA STATE RICOCHET OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
2nd - 3rd March 2026 8 players took part in this event with Max Kewish representing Busselton. The first 4 players all ended up with 5 wins and only hoop difference between them. Max had 3 wins against stiff competition.
YORK OVER 65
14th-15th March 2026 Three members of our club made the journey to York to play in this fun doubles event. Partners were rotated throughout the competition. Julie Dewar, Robin Beer and Bruce Goodall enjoyed the days. With great food that York always supply, good company and great play the weekend was a success.


AC MEN'S SINGLES
11th -14th April 2026 There were 8 players from WA in the men's singles out of 32 players. These players had differing degrees of success. Kim Reynolds from Busselton came up against the no 1 seed in the first round of the knockout and then played in the plate. He had 3 wins against some of the State players.


AC WOMENS SINGLES
10th April - 14th April 2026 The Woman's singles were held in Perth this year and had a good local contingent mainly from the South West. Games were on a best of 3 knockout. The first 16 continued on the knockout and the bottom 10 entered the plate. Megan Reynolds and Judith Nicholls were in the top half. The competition was. very tough and games were at a premium. In the plate were Dianne Bower, Robyn Dart, Dawn Robinson and Megan Fardon. This was a more even contest


SA NORWOOD AC OPEN
11th-15th March 2026 Dianne continued on to Norwood after Victor Harbor to play in the Open Doubles and Singles. While Kim and Megan only played the singles. Dianne had the same partner from Victor Harbor but was not so successful and came in 3rd in her block. Kim Reynolds was unlucky to be at the bottom of his block so had a tough time playing against Simon Hockey and Dwayne McCormick both formidable AC players. VICTOR HARBOR AC SINGLES
2nd -6th March 2026. Once again in the singles Kim and Megan Reynolds were in the same block. Kim came in 3rd with 4 wins & 3 losses as did Megan but Kim had the better net hoop. Great effort. Marcus McGavock played in B block and came in 5th. Judith Nicholls played really well with only 6 wins & 1 loss winning her block. Dianne Bower had 4 wins and 2 losses to come in 3rd in her block.


VICTOR HARBOR AC DOUBLES
1st March 2026 Five players from Busselton and Bunbury ventured to SA for the doubles and singles. The doubles partners were random draw within the players division. There were 4 blocks. Megan and Kim Reynolds played against each other in the A block coming 3rd and 4th. Marcus McGavock played in the B block coming 3rd. Judith Nicholls played in the C block and came 1st. Dianne Bower played in the D block and also came first came 1st. Well done to everyone.


COUNTRY SINGLES
28th Feb & 1st March 2026 Although the name suggests this is a country event any one can enter. It is just held in Bunbury, at Moorabinda and Bunbury Central if needed. There was A, B & C block with some new faces in the mix. It was 19 point timed games and some very tight games ensured. There was strong winds on Saturday which added to the difficulty. Graham Edwards playing in the C Grade had some good games and was happy to come down in his handicap. Robyn Dart played in


NARROGIN VALENTINE DOUBLES
14th -15th February 2026 Narrogin took over the Valentine Doubles from Albany who had held it for many years previous. There was a very good field with 17 pairs, which was divided into 2 blocks. The bowling club allowed Narrogin the use of a spare lawn green which gave them 4 courts. Ellen Sprigg played with Sue Lupton from Narrogin and the had a couple of wins and lots of fun
