3rd - 4th October 2026 8 pairs signed up to play in this State event. Max Kewish played with Peter Pekaar (Como). Michael Demonakis & Greg Stevenson were very clear winners with 7 win and no losses with the runner-up very tight with 3 pairs on 4 wins and 3 losses and only hoops separating them. 27th September 2026 Second day of the carnival saw A & B doubles being played with 9 pairs including Max Kewish and partner Doug Smith (Mandurah). so once again some played 6 games and some 5. The winners were Steve Robb & Michael Demonakis.

26th - 28th September 2026. As the name suggests there was 3 types of croquet played starting with ricochet doubles on Friday. Commencing with 7 pairs from Busselton Bruce Goodall, Max Kewish and partner Dianne Bower. As this was a 1 day event some played 4 games and others 5. The winners with 5 wins was Brian Scott & Michael Demonakis both from Halls Head.

5th - 8th September 2026 There was 34 players in this event with 5 from WA. We have a very strong men's contingent and they were expected to do well. With Colin Stewart coming 2nd in the Gold Medal all eyes were on WA. Gary Phipps, Paul Christmas, Chris McWhirter and Torben Bak. The men had a good showing and Torben Bak won the event over Felix Gelman White 7-1, 7-2.

5th -8th September 2026 Their was 29 ladies competing in this event 5 from WA. The event was at Cairnlea with rain and wind and a day of sunshine. There was 4 blocks and the top four of each block went into the Knockout and the remainder in the plate. Four of the WA ladies made it into the top block being Joyce Carbone, Robyn Dart, Lesley Storey & Jenifer Rechter. The conditions and competition was too good for us and we all WA players got putout after the first round. Th

22nd - 23rd August 2026 This year both teams were fairly evenly matched and Barbarians had some great wins. The overall score was State team 48 games against 32 games. great result by everyone. Great props courtesy of David McFall

8th - 9th August 2026 This event was held at Belmont Croquet Club to give the State Team some preparation for Cairnlea. 8 pairs entered. Winners were Joyce Carbone (Gosnells) & Colin Stewart (Belmont) runner-up on hoops was Robyn Dart & Gary Phipps from Torben Bak & Lesley Storey.

5th-6th August 2026 This competition was held at Moorabinda with 4 pairs competing. Robyn Dart paired with Brian Scott from Halls Head and dianne Bower partnered Todd Reynolds from York. As we were all around the same handicaps there were some very tight games. The winners were Judith Nicholls and Marcus McGavock from Brian Scott and Robyn Dart with Dianne Bower and Todd Reynolds third.

1st-2nd August 2026 14 Clubs were represented in this event. Kim Reynolds was our Busselton representative and performed very well winning 10 out of 13 games against some tough competition. The winner was Brian Scott from Halls Head winning 11 games and loosing 2 with 34 hoops from Colin Stewart from Belmont with 11 games and 25 hoops.

Despite freezing conditions on Day 1, it didn't dampen the spirit of players competing in the recent Narrogin GC Country Doubles weekend. Players from Merredin, Hyden, Katanning, Bunbury, Geraldton and Busselton enjoyed the warm hospitality and friendly camaraderie provided by the Narrogin club, as 12 pairs of players battled it out on Narrogin's 3 courts. 25 -26th July 2026 There were 8 club represented for this event. Busselton's representative was Kim Reynolds. Two blocks of 4 made the competition, the top 4 going into the final and the bottom 4 into the plate. Jeff Newcombe won overall with Eric Ayling from York coming runner-up and winning the Country Champion. Kim played in the plate and came runner-up with 2 wins.

18th-19th July 2026 This was a great event with 9 teams particapating. Good to go was always going to be the team to beat but with the top three it was going to come down to games in the end. Busselton's team of Dianne Bower, Robyn Dart and Kim Reynolds did well and finished 5th.

2rd - 3rd July 2026 There were 11 players in the Club Championship with 7 in the first block and 4 contesting the Plate which was for C & D grade players. All players were very competitive and it was good to see David and Trevor step out of their comfort zone and play against more experienced players. Winner of the Championship was Kim Reynolds with Robyn Dart 2nd and Megan Reynolds 3rd. The plate winner was Julie Dewar with 3 wins from Robin Beer.

6 14th June 2026 7 pairs contested this event with some exciting tussles along the way. Early on Kim and Ron seemed to have the contest stitched up but then they had a sneak attack from Trevor and David who beat them in the game between the two and it was game on. With both having 5 wins and 1 loss Kim and Ron won on hoops.

1 -3 rd July 2026 There was only 4 players contesting this event. Kim & Megan Reynolds, Robyn Dart & Max Kewish. The tussle between Kim and Megan was very close and Kim just managed to get over the line with 2 hoops from Megan. This meant Kim was the winner and Megan runner-up.

4 -5th July 2026 There were 16 pairs which included most of the state team. The first round was 2 blocks of 8 in a round robin, which was then split 8 pairs continuing the knock - out and the other 8 continuing in the plate. The winners were Jeff Newcombe and Paul Christmas from Colin Stewart & Joyce Carbone.

27 -28th June 2026 This is an invitational event for up and coming players. With 16 entries it made for a strong competition. Julie Dewar was Busselton's entrant. The winner was Brian Scott from Cate Johnson.

27 -28th June 2026 There were 11 players competing for this title. There were 2 blocks and Megan and Kim Reynolds found themselves in. the same block. Kim and Megan did very well winning 2 and 3 games respectively. The overall winner was Ian Dumergue from Gary Phipps.

20 -21st June 2026 There were 9 pairs competing for this title of which two of the pairs were from Busselton. Dianne Bower & Julie Dewar and Max Kewish & Graham Edwards. The competition was very tight with little separating the top four. The final was between Cate & Mark Johnson & Ric Murray & Gil Sowden. which went right down to the wire with Cate & Mark winning 10/9.

30th May - 1st June 2026 There were 16 players hoping for the honour of being WA's no 1. Conditions were forecasted to be wet and windy. Two blocks of 8 had a single round robin and the top 4 of each block conntinued in the knockout and the bottom 8 would play the plate. There were some very tight best of three and it was interesting to note that the top 2 from both blocks actually ended up playing for 5th to 8th.
