CROQUETWEST STATE OPEN SINGLES.

2 blocks of 9 players played in the Knockout section which was held at Como and Nedlands. There were some very good games played. Dianne Bower had a couple of wins against tough opposition and came away pleased with how she played.

At Nedlands the the third and fourth places to go over to Como and play in the finals were between Colin Stewart, Robyn Dart, Ciaran Stewart and Jenny Rechter

Robyn had to win her last game against Jen to proceed and Colin had to beat John to stop Ciaren taking fourth position, with John ahead until the 13th hoop which he sucumbed to the pressure and missed the hoop.

Robyn encountered Chris McWhirter as her first opponent in a best of 3 which she won.

Her next match was against Torben Bak and he beat her 7-5, 7-4.

Robyn then played Colin Stewart for 3rd position which she won.

Brett McHardy played Torben in the grand final winning in. 2
