STATE TEAM EVENT

19th - 20th July 2025

We had 14 teams of 3 players participating in this event at Moorabinda

on wet and windy weekend. Teams came from Katanning, Narrogin, Forrest Park, Mandurah, Busselton, Cambridge, Dunsborough, Gosnells, Moorabinda and Busselton.

We played a singles and doubles each round and rotated through out the day. There was only one clear winner at the end of day 1 which was one of the Moorabinda teams and 3 others in with a chance for runner-up. It was a great mixture of players and the catering done by Moorabinda was awesome. The second day was hampered by flooded courts which meant play had to stop for 20 minutes for the courts to dry out and later in the day we stopped for thunder although nobody minded as it was teeming down so a little respite was appreciated. The Busselton players were Kim Reynolds, Barry Colton and Robyn Dart we finished 6th.

The winners were John Jury, Bob James and John Bird for the 2nd year in a row and runner-up were Janine and Brett McHardy and Joyce Carbone.
